The book is a really
good book it is about a platoon in the Vietnam War, one man carries letters
from a girl in San Francisco; she is not his girlfriend he wishes she was. She is
just a friend and one day when he is reading a letter from her he just gets
frustrated that she is not going to be his girlfriend and he burns the letters.
She had also sent him
a rock that she had picked up on the ocean shore line, and sent it to him he
puts the rock in his mouth and sucks on it. And the same day when he is
frustrated and burns the letters he also takes the rock and throws it as hard
