                Francis is now on the road to go find his parents he left Mr. Grimes so he can be on his own. He riding with a wagon group but when he sees a heard of buffalo he gets lost. Now he is in the middle of now where so he starts heading north. Then he comes upon a wagon so he goes and sees if anyone is in there. There are two children one boy and a girl.

          There dad left them there because he got very sick.so Francis takes them in as his own.  They are on the road again heading north. While there were riding they kept hearing screaming from a hut so they park the horses and go by the hut. A woman comes out then an American solider comes out after the woman. So the man sees Francis and pulls out his gun and fires it skims across his cheek s then Francis fires.

          It hits the man in the chest and he dead’s. What happens next? Read the book to find out.
