Among the Hidden book review 5

Book review 5
Among the Hidden takes place in the future when the government now makes it that you can only have 2 kids due to the lack of food. There are some people that don’t follow the rule and have a 3rd child in their family. The main character Luke is a 3rd child in his family which is hard on him sometimes.
He can’t do all the stuff his brothers get to do like play outside, make friends, and even go to school. One day he looks out of the small window in his room and sees movement in his neighbor’s house, but no one can be there since the 2 kids went to school and the parents went to work. Luke decides that he should go and check it out for himself to see if there is another 3rd child.

He sneaks out of his back yard, runs over to his neighbor’s house, and when he gets inside he sees a girl on the computer typing on the computer. It turns out that the girl’s name is Jen and she is a 3rd child too. Jen is actually working on a plan to get more 3rd kids and go to the white house to protest. She asks Luke to join them but he is not sure if he should risk it. Now Luke has to decide if he should hide in his house forever or to help Jen with her plan to make 3rd children legal in the country. I think that this is a good book and if you have the chance to read it you should.
