Francis and his adopted family Billy
and Lottie are still on the road still trying to find his parents. They were
heading west on the Oregon Trail but they went south because winter is coming
and they want to avoid the cold. When they start to get in Mexico territory
they find out that the United States and Mexico are in War for land.
So they run in to the United States
army and get in some trouble but they make it out OK. Then there is this group
of outlaws that kidnap them. The outlaws take everything they have. Will Francis
and his adopted family ever get out of the outlaws reach? Read the books to
find out.
