Don't Die, My Love

One day, Luke, Julie, and some friends went on a date. On that date, Julie noticed bumps on Luke's neck. She insists that he go to the doctor. Luke resists because doctors cost money. Julie finally convinced Luke to go because he was feeling sick.
When he goes to the doctor, he finds out that he has cancer. A week later, he starts Chemo therapy. Does Luke get rid of his cancer? Does Luke and Julie's relationship survive through this difficult situation? How does Luke's mother react to the news?
I like how you made it a cliff hanger but it could use more detail.
