ISLAND
BOOK TWO: SURVIVAL
BY: GORDON KORMAN
Being lost and stranded may strike most people as scary. Six kids, Luke, J.J., Charla , Will, Lyssa, and Ian, washed up on a deserted island after their ship wrecked. Living entirely off of bananas and coconut milk they signal any type of rescue.
After one of their crew member, Will, suffers amnesia their main focus it trying to restore his memory. Nothing seems to spark a light bulb, but when Will realizes he is with a bunch of strangers he bolts for safety in the thick overgrown forest.
Searching for their friend, they heard a strange noise. It was a humming of an engine. Curious they searched the island and found a plane. Overwhelmed with joy they quickly rushed to the four passengers. Suddenly, everyone stopped in their tracks. They had just heard a, BANG, and saw one of the passengers fall dead in his tracks.

Having to survive in a remote island, find a friend, and avoid these murders takes every ounce of teamwork they have. When all to eat is bananas and coconuts, and rain as their fresh water supply, doing work can be exhausting.
