Swindle: Book Four
By: Gordon Korman
Griffin Bing
is an average schoolboy. He’s really very daring. One day he decided to get a
bunch of friends together and stay overnight in abandoned house. While they’re
in there exploring, Griffin finds an antique baseball card with the name Babe Ruth on it. He thinks it could be valuable.
The next
day, Griffin takes the card to an antique shop to have it valued. The shop
owner says only two of this type of baseball cards are known to exist. He also
says that some people would be willing to pay up to a million dollars for this
rare card. When Griffin is on his way out of the shop, he is tricked into
believing that the card is a fake. Griffin sells the card to the man for 5
dollars.
As soon as
Griffin sold the card he knew he’d been tricked. He starts planning a way to
get the card back. He plans a heist to steal the card back from the man who
tricked him in the first place. Will his plan to retake the car succeed or will
his plans go bad?
