Jake Cullen lives in the shadows of his brother and his father. After Jake's brother lead his high school to the championship game, Jake has to live up to what his brother and father accomplished.

Starting as third string quarterback, Jake has to man up and become 1/2 first string after the starting quarterback suffered a severe leg injury. Jake now has his opportunity to play varsity as a freshman. Jake has a natural sense of being a quarterback. His father played professional football and his brother starts QB in college football.

            When Jake's competitor Casey, finds out that Jake could possibly become the first string, he starts trying to get into Jakes head and tries to steal the girl that Jake likes. I really enjoyed this book. It is a great read for anyone that likes sports
