Lone Survivor

Porter Nichols Book review #2
Lone Survivor
I read the “Lone Survivor” by: Marcus Luttrell the actual Navy SEAL/s who fought to the death with his pals on Murphy’s ridge. Yes this is an autobiography about the world’s most elite fighting force, the Navy SEAL/s. All of the events are true and are in chronological order. They start out as a team of four people sent into monitor a Taliban leader when some goat herders find the team the team holds them and is faced with the decision of killing or letting them live. Now why would they have to kill them? They would have to kill them because many herders and mountain men were in league with the Taliban and would give them information about the American forces. Now why would they not kill them? They wouldn’t kill them because of the American press the army is afraid to look bad to the public. In the end the seals let them go and eventually are attacked. The team of four killed over eighty Taliban fighters before three of the men were killed or shot up to the point they couldn’t fight any more oh wait SEAL/s don’t stop fighting until death. I LOVED the book, what’s scary is that everything said is true and there are people out there that wished we were all dead. The press is helping them, and words for the wise don’t believe everything the press says they don’t always have the full story.
