Me Pete

Me Pete

By: Merwin Ivers Spragg

“Me Pete” is a funny, adventurous, autobiography, about my Great Grandfather Merwin. There is so much that goes on in this book, considering that he talks about when he was four till he was much older. He was born on October 20th, 1919 at a dry farm in the hills east of the head of Bluewater Creek. During this entire book he talks about most of his little adventures, and describes them like it happened the day before! It seems like it’s a serious book once you first get into it but after the first pages you’ll read one of his mistakes, or jokes and you’ll laugh out loud- lol for short. Merwin puts a lot of “voice” in this book by mainly cussing and spelling simple things wrong, so sometimes it’s hard to read. Although My Great Grandfather has passed, and I can’t hear him directly I still enjoy this book, and have a great connection with it.
