Chosen is about a boy named Johnis, who is supposed to be the chosen one by Elyon, who represents God in the story. Thomas Hunter is the only one and his wife know that Johnis is the chosen one. A white Roush, named Michal, sent Johnis, Silvie, Billos, and Darsal on a mission to find the seven Books of History. The books' power is to much to handle if the books are opened. The Roush sent them on the mission while Thomas Hunter sent them on a mission to retrieve four catalina cacti and return them to the Middle Forest, to Thomas Hunter. On their way to retrieving the Catalina cacti, they run into a lot of trouble. That is just the beginning of the four Forest Guards' missions.
