Kidnapped
Book one: The Abduction
Gordon Korman
Kidnapped by Gordon Korman is a book that is scary, sad and intense. If I was walking home with my little sister and all of a sudden she is gone I would feel the same way Aiden is feeling. Aiden is a dark brown haired, blue eyed, 15 year old. His little sister Meg is a dark long brown haired, blue eyed, 11 year old.
As Aiden and Meg are walking home a white van pulls up beside them, then Meg is kidnapped. Aiden saw the van peel out and take off. Right away he took off after the van. He felt his legs getting weak so he grabbed a scooter that was in the gutter. He was doing all he could to try and catch up with that van. Eventually he just gave up. His legs were tiered from pushing. He could not believe that he let this happen.
On his way home he was trying to figure out ways to tell his parents about this. Aiden was afraid that his mom is going to be disappointed in him. As soon as Aiden arrived home his parents came to greet him and his sister at the door. But they only saw him. Aiden’s parents ask him where Meg was. Aiden broke down in tears. His parents knew something bad  happened. He sat them down and told them straight out. “Meg and I were walking home and then this white van pulled up and they snatched her. I tried running after the van but I got too tiered and they were going too fast.”  His parents calmed him down and told him it was going to be ok we will find her. They asked if he saw the drivers face. He said no they had masks on. Then they asked if he saw the license plate number.  He said no I was concentrating on getting Meg back.
Aiden did as much as he could to find his sister. Every time he thought about her (which was all the time) it brought back some really good memories. Every white van he saw he would run up to it see if it was the same van that took Meg.
“It’s every brother’s worst fear: As Aiden and his sister, Meg are walking home from school one day, a van pulls over and Meg is kidnapped. There’s no way for Aiden to stop it from happening. He’s the only witness to his sister’s disappearance.”  If you are an emotional person and you want to read this book, I would recommend keeping a box of tissues by you.
