Diary of a Wimpy Kid

 Diary of a Wimpy Kid
By: Jeff Kinney
The first look People get at this book might make it seem pointless to them. However, this book has a great moral to it and can actually teach us all a couple valuable lessons in life. It’s a story full of drama and broken friendships.
Greg Heffley, the main character, and his best friend Rowley Jefferson are about to go to their first day of middle school. Middle school will change both of their lives forever. It doesn't help that Rodrick, Greg’s older brother is constantly being a jerk and pulling pranks on him. Rodrick once woke up early and pulled a prank that made Greg think he slept through the whole summer. Greg got yelled at when his dad caught him eating Cheerios at three in the morning.
Next, Greg loses Rowley, his one and only friend when they get into a huge fight. Earlier in the year Greg and Rowley had signed up for safety patrol, which meant they had to walk kindergarteners home from school every day. Let’s just say they fought over a responsibility issue. Greg finally fesses up about his wrongdoings, and loses Rowley in the process. Greg is friendless throughout the majority of his first middle school year.

Within their last week of school, Greg and Rowley pick a fight. Some teenagers from the local high school show up and scare everyone away. Greg and Rowley must regain their friendship in order to escape the high schoolers.

  1. I remember reading this book and good job talking about how Rodrick always pull pranks on him. I really recommend this book to any one that has not read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

  3. Wow! I didn't think this would be very good, because it's Diary of a Wimpy kid, but it's pretty good! I love how you put the "plot" by the way! :D
