Ranger's Apprentice

Ranger’s Apprentice
This book takes place in the middle ages. The main character switches from one person to another like Will, to Halt, to Erak, and back again. This book is a fast paced book the character Will is a very talented boy though he doesn’t know it but Halt is watching him. Halt is the Fife’s ranger. Rangers study the art of unseen movement they’re main weapon is the long bow all rangers except apprentices most apprentices get a re-curve bow not quite as strong as the long bow. They’re secondary weapons are a sax knife witch is a large one sided blade that is used for close combat. The last a smaller throwing knife. The rangers are very accurate with both the bow and throwing knife. They wear a grey-green cloak that helps them blend with their surroundings. In this book Will’s father is killed before Will is born and his mother died giving birth. So will lived in the castle red mount’s ward then he is always getting in to trouble and picking fights with one ward mate Horence. Horence is huge in build and very tall but not that fast because once he gets going he has to stop. He usually won the physical fight but verbal he lost the most because of his lack of wit unlike will. The choosing is where Will’s troubling behavior is revealed to you. this is a grate book\series full of danger and war I highly recommend the book!!!

  5. A long time ago I started this book but couldn't finish it. I just didn't seem to like how it started and wasn't drawn in like you all might be. BUT! The review from my perspective is well done. BRAVO
