My book is called Petey by Ben Mikaelsen. Petey is a boy who was born with cerebral palsy which back in his time people just thought that he was a retard. Petey grew up in many mental institutions. Petey kind of learns to talk over the years.  He has a few friends that you have to read to find out who and what they are. Soon after those friends go away another friend comes a long whose name is Trevor Ladd and ends up be his friend until Petey dies.  Warning this book will make you cry !!!!
