Series of Unfortunate Events, Ersatz Elevator

Lemony Snicket continues the story of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny in this sad series, with them getting removed from the academy, they move on to their next guardians, who happen to live in the same town as they did when their parents were still alive. The children worry about the Quagmires, and Count Olaf, because we all know that he won't stop trying until he gets his hands on their fortune. When the children find and empty elevator shaft, they muddle up the courage, and go down the three hour trip to the bottom. Once back up, they try to warn there guardians about what they found, but as always, they don't listen.
