            Dear John is about a guy named John. John had a tough childhood because when he was a baby his mom left him and his dad. John has always thought that his dad didn’t really care what he did because his dad always talked about his coin collection.

    When John is in high school he starts hanging out with the wrong crowd. He starts smoking and drinking a lot. When he gets out of high school he joins the military and goes to serve in Germany. He ends up meeting a girl when he comes back and... Well you are going to have to read the book to find out how it ends.
