Game Changers

Game Changers
Mike Lupica
Book Review 6

Ben McBain has always been small. He may have been the smallest but was the best at everything he loved doing. His favorite thing he loved doing was football. Ben was probably one of the best quarterbacks in the midget division. Then he finds out that once again someone bigger than him is trying out for quarterback as well. Not to mention he is the coaches son.
Sam, Coop, Lily, and Ben are a part of the group that they call the core four. Sam was probably one of the fastest, other than Ben, on the football team. Then there is Coop, the funny one, the one that is the center that protects Ben from the attacking defenders. They always would hang out with each other.

At football tryouts Ben tries his hardest to impress the coach of the team. He was the backup quarterback to Payton Manning when he was on the Colts. He has high hopes about him starting QB until he finds out that he is receiver. Ben and the core four are all a little upset for Ben. I really enjoyed reading this book because it is all about the underdog. The person that usually is unexpected to be the one to come out on top.
