Buddy book#4

            Buddy   by: M. H. Herlong   #4
Li'l T always wanted a dog. But his dad always had an excuse to not get one. But one day while driving to church in their tiny car, they hit something. They jumped out of the car and ran to see what it was. Li'l T couldn't believe his eyes when he say a dog laying on the hot concrete, motionless. His eyes moved to the white bone protruding from the skin on the dog's leg.
Li'l T had found his best friend. He was only aloud to keep Buddy If he could take care of him. So Li'l T sold his Game Boy and mowed lawns every day to buy food for Buddy. He finally convinced his dad to let him keep the Three legged dog.
But teaching Buddy how to walk again was the least of his problems. When New Orleans heard that a hurricane was coming, Li'l T and his family had to leave the state. But there was no room for Buddy. Can Hurricane Katrina tear apart a boy and his best friend? Can a family repair their lives after a disastrous storm?

  1. Based on the amount of details you put in, it's probably a pretty intense book, especially since it talks about Hurricane Katrina.
