                                            BURNING UP

                                            BY:CAROLINE B.COONEY

This book is about a high school girl named Macey. Every weekend Macey goes and

spends her weekends at her grandparents beach house because her parents go to the city.

Macey love's going to her grandparents because they have home cooked meals and

actually talk to each other. As they were eating dinner Macey asked what happened in the

old barn down the street.

Macey is involved in a Saturday group that helps people in need like their new

assignment at a church called the Good Shepherd. This trip is different because Macey's

grandparents neighbors grandson Austin was coming this time. Even though he came down

every summer Macey didn't know him even though he just enlisted in her school. The

question is why is he staying with his grandparents rather than living with  his parent's?

As Austin and Macey were at Good Shepherd they meet two new people Vinita

and Isaiah. There assignment was to paint the Sunday school rooms. While the four of them

were painting a horrible accident happened the question is what happened and did anyone

get hurt?

While time flew by Macey did some research on her history paper were the first African

American teacher was supposedly  burned in a barn fire. The questions are  does Macey

ever find out what happens to the teacher? Do Macey and Austin fall in love? and does

everyone they know come out alive from the terrible accidents that occur?

  1. I think you did a really good job on your book review, but I thought there was a few run on sentences and grammar problems. But I think it sounds like an awesome book!
