The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
By: Suzanne Collins
District 12, the final district in the country of Panem but, it wasn’t always the final district. District 13,
was the final district until everything went wrong. The district started rebelling causing the other districts to rebel causing a revolution. District 13 was bombed, so now life goes on and Panem pretends that District 13 never existed. Now every year to show that the Capital is all powerful they have the Hunger Games. When you turn 12 your name is entered once into the reaping, one more slip of paper is added when you turn 13, 14, 15 and so on until you turn 18, 18 is the last year you are entered into the reaping.                                               The reaping starts with the mayor giving a speech about how the Hunger Games started, then Effie Trinket, the coordinator for the Games for District 12 steps up to draw the names. The name she drew wasn’t expected, the chances of her name being drawn was one in a million. Primrose Everdeen. My little sister, I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute! The Hunger Games is full of action, adventure, mild violence and yes, love. Will Katniss survive the games to go home and see Prim?

  3. After I read this review, the hunger games all make sense now! Nice job! I was also confused by the way you wrote this. I wasn't quite sure if it was 3rd person or 1st person.
