Du Freak: A Living Nightmare is about a normal boy who wants to see a good
show. It all started when Alan took a flyer from his brother about a freak show
with cool pictures on it that intrigued the four friends. They devised a plan
to buy tickets for the show. Darren and his friends; Steve Leonard, Tommy
Jones, and Alan Morris, all wanted tickets but they could only get two because
of some restriction. So all of the friends have to decide who gets the tickets.
Of course Steve gets one because he went and bought the tickets with their
pooled money, but how will they decide who gets the other ticket. They decide
to cut up paper in a hat and throw it in the wind and whoever grabs it wins the
ticket.
As luck would have it Darren grabbed
the ticket. Now all they had to do was sneak out and go to the show. It’s just
that simple, and that’s how Darren’s life was flipped around. Darren and Steve got
to the show but tell their parents they’re sleeping over at each other’s house.
They go to that show, but knowledge and want makes it turns bad.
Cirque
Du Freak is about vampires, spiders, and all the other scary monsters under
your bed. A Living Nightmare is the
first book in the twelve book series that’s all out. This book is written
perfectly with just the right amount of humor, and frightening things. Compared
to the other books this one isn’t the most exiting but still a great book. Will
you join Darren as he fights through a world of death and vampires on a hunt to
survive?
