The Ransom of Mercy Charter By Caroline B, Cooney

The Ransom of Mercy Charter

By Caroline B. Cooney

When I was reading this book it felt every weird and hard to understand. There was a girl named Mercy Carter, who lives in Deerfield and five other brothers and sisters. Mercy, brothers and parents settling in an area, but they were kept in captivity. They can never go outside to the woods or open fields. They could not leave the stockade cause by the soldiers and the parents, so the kids won’t show the Indians where the kids live and the others.

The paragraph is when the Indians attack Deerfield. The Indians were climbing up the stockade and killing the soldiers and townsmen fought back at the Indians. It didn’t make sense to me cause it almost felt like Mercy was dreaming. The entire book seems like Mercy was dreaming. The Indians take Mercy and the prisoners out of the stockade, they were taken to Canada. Will Mercy Survive the trip.
