The book “Because of Winn-Dixie” is about a girl named India Opal Buloni. When India was a baby her mom left her and her dad, which is a preacher. One day India goes to the grocery store to get some groceries for her dad and while she is in there she makes a friend. Her friend turns out to be a dog and she ends up getting to keep him. She then calls him Winn-Dixie and the rest you will have to find out for yourself!!!!
