Soldiers Heart

            This book is about a boy named Charlie who wants to go fight in the civil war. Once he gets to the battle he learns that it is not fun, instead it is terrible. Once he gets done at the battle he then must go help tend to wounded soldiers at the hospital. The doctor tells Charlie that their out of food so he has to go out and kill the horses for food. When he came back with the meat the doctor told him to tell the soldiers that the food is beef but the soldiers knew the whole time it was horse because the fat yellow instead of white. This is a good short book because it is only 101 pages so if some likes to read short war books, then read soldiers heart.
