Maniac Magee
By Jerry Spinelli
“Just on please!”
“No, I am going to be late for class.”
“I will bring it right back.”
“Fine!”
Amanda Beal threw a book at maniac. She ran with her suit case in her hand. Maniac looked at the cover. It said the story of children’s crusade. Maniac is not an ordinary kid. He did not care if he was in the “black side” of town, he was just wandering and he did not believe that blacks and whites cannot be together. Maniac thought he was the biggest, bad kid in town. Then he met John McNab. He had hit McNab’s fastball and amazed all of the cobras.
