Miles is struggling her cousin practically sister just committed suicide. Miles didn't have many friends and when she lost her everything started going wrong. She started loosing her best friend Jamal  who she is very  in love with. Even worse she is loosing him to Bex Laura's best friend (Laura is miles cousin) and she is the one who gave Miles her nickname 8 Mile. Miles can't stand her and is upset that she is loosing the love of her life to her.
