Woods Runner

Based in Revolutionary war times, this book is the thrilling adventure of Samuel, a young boy who helps put meat on the table of his clueless parents. When Samuel goes out hunting bear, he returned to a tragedy. All the cabin nearby have been burnt to the ground, and all the people, both young and old slaughtered. But using his tracking skills, Samuel finds that his parents have left camp with the attackers. With no clue what to do, he begins to follow his parents in hopes of freeing them. Samuel goes far distances and meets new people and things he had been sheltered from, and even gets a little sister along the way. With the help of many people, Samuel might just have a chance at getting his parents back, or will he get caught by the British first?
