The fault in our stars
By: John Green
Hazel Grace Lancaster is a stage IV- cancer
survivor and has been for three years. When she becomes depressed so does her
mother. Her mother thinks it will be a good idea for Hazel Grace to go to group
counseling. At first Hazel is against it, all why wouldn’t she, she is a
teenage girl. At first she is she and hesitant to go, that is until she meets
Augustus Waters, who’s also a cancer survivor.
Hazel
Grace is a sixteen year old girl who has to face the trials of a normal teenage
girl who has to deal with the normal trial that every girl has; boys, drama,
friends, and of course many more. But she also has had to deal with more, cancer. Hazel Grace has gone through what I
think everyone has. She has had those days where nothing seems to go right and
all she can do is cry herself to sleep. I mean what girl hasn’t done that?
When
Hazel Grace meets Augustus everything changes. As she meets Augustus she meets
herself. As she learns to love she learns to love herself. She has learned that
what’s on the outside isn’t always on the inside. That no matter what you have
that you are still a person, you are still a human being. But most importantly
she learns who she is and who she has become.
I enjoyed how you gave insight on how she feels, also I liked all the detail you poured into this review.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you put things. Your did a good job not making the book sound to sad. And I love our last paragraph. Although it felt like you said your first paragraph twice.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this book. Nice thoughts on what Hazel Grace learns about life and herself.
