Million
Dollar Throw
Nate Brodie is nicknamed "Brady,"
not just for his arm. He is the biggest Tom Brady fan in all of New England. He enjoys football and is always a good sport.
His passion for the sport is amazing. All day, every day, his main thought is on
football.
His best friend named Abby has been diagnosed
with Leber, a slow process that makes a person go blind. She is so supportive
of Nate even though she can barely see 5 feet in front of her. With this as
another big part of his thoughts he has to try and keep her and himself happy.
Nate
has been given the chance of a lifetime. He has won a chance to throw a ball
through a target at a Patriots game. If he completes the pass, he'll win a
million dollars. If he doesn't then it is the biggest chance of a lifetime wasted.
With all the pressure on him about the throw, he can’t seem to do well on the
field. All of his attention is focused on the throw. With his parents
struggling to pay their bills, even for their home, Nate knows how much the
money means to their family so the pressure is on. I really enjoyed this book
and it is full of details. All of the bad things that Nate has to go through is
insane.
That was supper good it was very detail and has me hook to see if he had made the throw or not. It was very very descriptive. That is a lot of pressure to put on a kid. Make a throw and when a million dollars. Great Job!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I now want to know if he makes the throw to help his family with the bills and how he deals underneath all of the pressure.
