Mountain Man life is
a dangerous life. Francis Tucket is a 14 year old boy traveling with his family
on a wagon train to Oregon. On his birthday, he gets a rifle as a present, and
stays behind the wagon for target practice. He is left behind the wagon train.
Suddenly he is taken by a hunting party of Pawnees, and is made a 'son' by an
old Pawnee woman. Jason Grimes (A Mountain Man) rescues him during the night.
Francis is thrown by an Indian pony, and is learning to live in the west. With
the help of the one armed Jason Grimes. Jason Grimes goes by Mr. Grimes and
tells Francis he will be Mr. Tucket. The go west to catch the wagon train. Mr.
Grimes is in a lot of trouble. I encourage everyone who likes western books to
read this.
I love how you gave the encouragement for those people who are into western books! Also, very descriptive! Good Job!
